I'm starting my Marathon with Eggless French Toast. This is my kids favorite recipe. I usually prepare it twice a week and everytime Ishani says, " Mom, can you pleeeeeeease make it daily". I love to hear that.
Ingredients:
Bread-4 slices
Rava/Sooji/Semolina-1/2 cup
Yogurt-1/2 cup
Onions chopped-2 tablespoon
1/2 Tomato chopped finely
Green chilli chopped
Coriander leaves chopped-1 tablespoon
Salt - per taste
Turmeric powder-1/4 steaspoon
Method:
Bread-4 slices
Rava/Sooji/Semolina-1/2 cup
Yogurt-1/2 cup
Onions chopped-2 tablespoon
1/2 Tomato chopped finely
Green chilli chopped
Coriander leaves chopped-1 tablespoon
Salt - per taste
Turmeric powder-1/4 steaspoon
Method:
Cut the bread in fun shapes or make two peice out of each bread slice. Make a thick batter by mixing all the ingredients except bread. This batter should be thick Don't add any water to it. Dip each piece of bread in the batter and coat both the sides. As the batter is thick, you might have to use your hand to place some veggie-yogurt mixture on the bread.
Heat a flat non stick pan. Add 1/2 tsp oil. Place the bread slice gently. Add few drops of oil along the edges. Cook on medium flame for about 3 minutes. Flip the bread and toast the other side for few more minutes until golden brown. I garnished it with cheese and tomatoes.
Serve with ketchup.
